A Minnesota woman returned to the Arby’s restaurant where she suffered a heart attack to thank the employees who she says helped save her life.

Mendota Heights Swears in New Police Officer

The police department mourning the loss of one of their own welcomed a new partner in blue Tuesday night.

The Mendota Heights police chief and city council helped swear in Officer Nick Gorgos.

Gorgos, originally from St. Paul, has seven years of patrol, narcotics, SWAT and detective experience with the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department in Georgia.

A local high school football player who collapsed at practice in Mendota Heights is recovering thanks to the quick action of his coaches and training staff, according to the St. Thomas Academy Head Master.

He says on Friday a sophomore student was revived with a defibrillator.
