Met Council Seeks Public Input for Long-Range Transportation Plan

The Metropolitan Council is updating the Twin Cities' long-range Transportation Policy Plan to accommodate an expected population increase and it's asking for residents to give their input.

Suspect Still at Large after Bank Robberies in Maple Grove, Burnsville

Police are investigating two separate bank robberies that may involve the same suspect.

Maple Grove police were called to the Wells Fargo Bank on Sycamore Lane North around 5:36 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a robbery. Employees say the suspect showed them a note and that they gave him an undisclosed amount of money. He then fled toward Bass Lake Center.

Minnesota Pipe Line Company plans to ask regulators for approval to nearly double the capacity of a crude oil pipeline that carries oil from Canada and North Dakota to the two refineries in the Twin Cities.
    

Authorities Warn about Jury Duty Phone Scam

Minnesota judicial officials are warning of a phone scam that involves jury duty.
    
Residents in Olmsted, Rice, Dakota and Ramsey counties have reported getting phone messages saying they had failed to return a jury summons. The message asks for a return call. When the call is returned, someone named Angel answers the phone and asks probing questions.
