Fairview Wine & Spirits in Roseville is a true mom and pop operation. Mom Sandy Burwell, pop Steve, and daughter Stacy have kept the store going for nearly 30 years. Now though, times are changing.

For-profit school Corinthian Colleges is being sued by the federal government over alleged predatory lending.

The government is suing for $500 million on behalf of the students who say they took out private loans through the college.

A large donation will be made Tuesday for the family of a fallen officer.

Mendota Heights police officer Scott Patrick was killed during a traffic stop in late July.

On Tuesday, the group Wives Behind the Badge will hand off school supplies and donations they’ve gathered for the two daughters he leaves behind as well as other children in the community.

A 28-year-old West St. Paul man is facing murder charges Monday for allegedly strangling his girlfriend to death last month.

Police were called to an apartment in West St. Paul around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 10 after a woman reported her daughter was dead.
