If the falling leaves aren’t enough of an indication, the end of the water recreation season shows that summer is long over.

Anoka will be lowering the pool above the Rum River Dam next week, signaling the end of boating season on the river. The pool will stay about three-feet lower than its summer level until next spring.

APPLE VALLEY - To honor our military veterans, Apple Valley High School will host a Veterans Day Celebration on Nov 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. in the AVHS gymnasium.

School Officials say they are very happy and proud to show their support for the many living veterans and active military personnel who live in the Dakota County area.

Hastings Police want help identifying a man suspected of using counterfeit money.

They released this picture of the suspect taken from surveillance cameras at the M&H Gas Station. Anyone who recognizes the man in the picture should email hpd@ci.hastings.mn.us.
