Burnsville Ice Rinks Open for Season

Skaters take note, Burnsville’s skating rinks have opened for the season.

According to the City of Burnsville, the rinks are in good shape. The maintenance department will continue to put water down overnight.

Burnsville has 13 parks that offer outdoor skating. According to the City, 12 of those sites have warming houses.

Met Council Approves $100K Grant for Fridley

Fridley is getting $100,000 to create a master plan for the area south of the Northstar Commuter Rail Station.

The Transit Oriented Development Grant comes from the Metropolitan Council. It will look at the area bounded by the rail station on the north, I-694 on the south, the Mississippi River on the west, and Main Street on the east.

Skating Rinks Open to Skaters

Various skating rinks opened for the season in Hastings.

Rinks at Pioneer Park, Wallin Park and Lions Park opened to skaters on December 26th.

Ice conditions are considered “Fair” so skaters are asked to skate with caution. You can check for updates on the City of Hastings Facebook page or call the skating hotline at 651-480-2392.
