Firefighters Battle Blaze at Ole Piper Inn in Blaine

Firefighters in Blaine responded to a blaze at the Ole Piper Inn restaurant overnight.

The fire was reported around 3:30 a.m. Friday. Crews worked to ventilate the roof and battle the flames, and it's now under control.

A Minnesota veteran found a special holiday display when he arrived at his Blaine home after work Thursday evening.

The surprise for Jon Ksepka was arranged by his wife, Sarah.

Ksepka, a father of three, suffered back pain and post traumatic stress disorder while serving our country overseas.

West St. Paul: Storm Debris Pick Up Ends Friday

Residents in the northwestern part of West St. Paul who still need to dispose of storm debris from last weekend's storm, have until 3 p.m. Friday to set it out for pick up.

City staff will pick up the debris from residential properties north of Butler Avenue and west of Stryker Avenue.
