Nativity of Mary School in Bloomington will be holding a Kindergarten Information Night on Thursday, November 15 at 6:30pm in the church gathering space.

Eric Gieseke Named Burnsville’s Sixth Police Chief

The Burnsville Police Department has a new Chief. Long-time Captain Eric Gieseke was named Burnsville’s sixth Chief of Police on Friday.

Gieseke succeeds Bob Hawkins, who announced his retirement earlier this year.

Voters Re-Elect Inver Grove Heights Mayor

On Tuesday, Inver Grove Heights voters re-elected Mayor George Tourville and elected two newcomers to the city council.

Tourville received 68 percent of the vote to defeat challenger Scott Cornelius, who got 31 percent.

Voters Re-Elect Mendota Heights Mayor

Mendota Heights Mayor Sandra Krebsbach will serve another term.

Krebsbach received 53 percent of the vote to defeat challenger Ultan Duggan, who got 47 percent.

Incumbent Mike Povolny and Steve Norton ran unopposed for two open council seats.

Santa to Appear at City Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

Cottage Grove city officials are hosting a holiday tree lighting ceremony at the new Public Safety/City Hall in Cottage Grove.

The tree lighting is scheduled for December 5th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be refreshments and music from the Park High School Choir. Santa Clause may also make a special appearance.
